Regular meetings were held with Agriculture Commissioner Fischler and Trade Commissioner Lamy. Dinner debates were hosted with national politicians including Dutch agriculture Minister Brinkhorst, the Australian Agriculture Counsellor Peter Thomas and the Polish Ambassador to the EU amongst others.

Mr Geoffrey Podger, Executive Director of the European Food Safety Authority was invited to debate the future of food policy and several relevant discussions on topical issues were had with CEOs of major food companies, academics, including Professor Stefan Tangermann, and others leading to a rich and mutually beneficial exchange of views.
