Welcome to the website of the Land Use and Food Policy Intergroup in the European Parliament.LUFPIG provides a unique MEP-led grouping of politicians, agriculture and food policy players which interacts regularly with the agri-business community. Historically we have brought together politicians from across the European Parliament whose work is affected by the operation of agriculture and food policy. We debate in an informal but open environment on a wide range of issues, including: unreformed commodity areas of the CAP; the relationship between agriculture and trade; the formation of a common European food policy; the cost and budgetary control of agriculture and rural development; transparency in agricultural decision-making and many other related issues.
